A keen amateur photographer has turned her hobby into therapy following stressful times in lockdown.
Amy Manning, who works in HR, grew up in Northfleet before moving to Maidstone in October.
She said: "I always liked photography. Currently it is only a hobby but I'd love to get into it professionally.
"When things like home or work get stressful, taking time out to do photography really relaxes me, it helps me unwind."
Amy used to live by Aldi in Northfleet and spent a lot of her time capturing the sunsets overlooking the River Thames.
She said: "I became a bit obsessed, but the sunsets were just amazing.
"It wasn't until after I took the pictures that I realised they looked as good as they did."
The 29-year-old then moved to Riverview in Gravesend. She said: "Behind Cascades Leisure Centre are lots of woodland areas and farmers' fields.
"There were always such lovely flowers and different types of nature to spot. It was perfect for photography, a lot of my work was taken there."
Amy uses a Nikon D3400 and posts most of her photos onto Facebook.
She said: "I posted a photo of a dog onto my Facebook and didn't even realise their owner was in the frame.
"It was shared onto one of the Gravesend Facebook groups and a woman stepped forward and explained that the photo was of her dog and her husband.
"She loved the photo so much that after I sent her the digital file she had it printed and put onto a canvas.
"I don't take the pictures to gain any feedback but it was really nice to hear from her how much she liked my work."
Amy expanded her skills on holidays, taking pictures in Turkey, Scotland and days out at Eagle Heights in Dartford.
Amy, who now lives near Maidstone town centre, said: "My family love my photography, my mum has even started taking photos too."
