Investigation launched after homeless man's bedding set on fire in Gravesend

A homeless man's belongings were set on fire prompting an investigation by police.

The incident is alleged to have taken place in an area of The Terrace, Gravesend, on Friday.

Police were alerted by a third party following reports that bedding belonging to a homeless person had been set alight.

Officers have carried out house-to-house inquiries and looked at CCTV.

An investigation is now under way and an appeal for information has been made.
