Hard work and dedication was recognised as a hospital came together for its annual awards ceremony.

Staff at Darent Valley Hospital gathered at the Brands Hatch Thistle Hotel for the Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust Awards on Friday evening.

Long service, outstanding contributions, innovation and team work were all praised during the event which saw awards for teams and individuals.

There was also an award nominated by the public, won by the hospital's Oak Ward which received a bumper pack of Christmas treats from John Lewis Bluewater.
