Work has begun to build almost 160 homes.
Planning permission for houses at Dalefield Way, Gravesend, was approved by Gravesham council in April.
Plans for the site include a range of 156 two, three and four-bedroom properties, with a mix of houses and flats.
The first homes will be released to buy next month and managing director for Bellway Kent, Chris Moore, said they already had a “large database of interested parties”.
As part of the planning agreement Bellway will be making a number of financial contributions totalling over £63,000 to the community.
It includes £42,000 to Kent County Council and £12,000 to fund flood risk management.
A further £5,000 will go towards improvements to bus shelters, £2,900 for on air quality and £1,500 towards a travel plan.
Mr Moore said: “The transport links and connectivity of the site has resulted in a significant percentage of our inquiries to date coming from professionals, commuters and families. The broad range of house types we are able to provide at Dalefield makes the development an attractive option for many prospective-buyers.
“It’s also incredible value for money compared to house prices in the capital and London suburbs, but St Pancras is less than 30 minutes away. It really is the best of both worlds.”
Over the past year the number of new homes completed nationally has risen by 6%, with building on more than 144,000 beginning during the first six months of 2016.
Mr Moore said: “People are starting to recognise the benefits of buying a new home. Maintenance costs are much cheaper and home owners can make a big saving on their energy bills.
“With schemes like Help to Buy and Part Exchange in place, coupled with the low mortgage rates, more people are able to afford to own their own property.”
A sales centre will be opened at Dalefield shortly, and a show home will be opened to before the end of the year.

Dartford’s reputation at the fastest place to sell a house in Britain is holding strong as a new development of un-built houses has sold out.
Data from property website Rightmove revealed that homes in the town take just 16 days to secure a buyer on average.

The Darent Place development sits on disused land between Dartford’s Central Road, Dunlop Close and Wellcome Avenue.
Not yet built, it will comprise 41 two and three bedroom homes, with prices starting at £78,000 based on a 40% share of a full market value of £195,000.
