A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being attacked in a Kent nightclub.

The 32-year-old Hungarian victim was approached by another man in Gravesend's Whispers nighclub. He was then head-butted and suffered a serious head injury.

He was taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical but stable.

The suspect was white, aged in his early 20s with short blond hair. He was wearing a green jacket and white shoes and a police spokesman said he is known to go to Whispers every Friday and Saturday night.

The attack happened at around 1am Saturday.
