Defeat for Ebbsfleet leaves their survival hopes in Blue Square Bet Premier a near-impossible task.
The 1-0 loss at Hyde on Tuesday night leaves Liam Daish’s (pictured) side 12 points adrift of safety with just 12 points up for grabs.
Hyde - who needed points themselves to secure Blue Square Bet Premier safety - played half the game with 10 men.
The game's highlights came just before half-time, as Hyde broke following Liam Enver-Marum's effort which had hit the bar. A Louis Almond cross was turned home by Matthew Blinkhorn.
But the hosts went down to 10 men after a skirmish involving Fleet’s Liam Bellamy which led to Griffin’s dismissal. Bellamy escaped with a caution.
Despite having a man advantage Fleet were unable to respond.
