A large fire which broke out at an industrial unit across the River Thames can be seen across parts of Kent.
People living in Greenhithe and Gravesend say they can see black billowing smoke coming from across the river on the Essex side.
It is due to an ongoing fire in Rectory Road, Grays, involving an industrial unit and a HGV.
A total of nine engines are at the scene from stations across Essex to tackle the blaze.
Essex Fire Service said: "The fire is producing a lot of smoke which can be seen for miles around.
"Residents in the nearby area should close their windows as there is a lot of smoke in the area."
They have also advised people living in the area to shut their doors and windows.
