DOZENS came together to enjoy a community event in Kings Farm.

The information day for residents called Make A Difference was organised by Kings Farm Neighbourhood Watch and Gravesham Borough Council to help raise awareness of the support services available to residents.

Representatives from the Public Safety Unit, Crimestoppers, Sure Start, Miracles Youth Centre, Volunteer Centres, the Gr@nd, the Kings Farm Forum and Partnerships and Communities Together (PACT), were all on hand to give advice and information.

Anne Allen who helped to set up the Kings Farm Neighbourhood Watch in February last year, has seen some positive changes to the area.

Mrs Allen said: “It is a good place. I have lived here for 20 years. There are families who are here for three generations. You can’t tell me it’s a bad estate.

“We did have a problem with people dumping rubbish in alleyways but things are improving.”
