There are more than 200 people living in the county with the surname Christmas, but how do they spend the big day?
James Christmas, of Higham, between Gravesend and Rochester, said his family celebrate the holidays in the same way most people do – with food, family and presents.
The 44-year-old said: "It is not relevant that that is my name. I do not do anything that no one else would do. We go to the markets and festivals and see family and friends.
"It is my first year with my grand-daughter. It is her first Christmas. It is going to be a good one this year for us.
"It has brought all the magic back for me. It is all for the kids, it is what it is all about."
James has lived in the village for around 16 years after moving over from Essex and said most people do not bat an eyelid at his festive name.
The Mountbatten Avenue resident added: "When I was a child you heard it all but everyone knows me around here so you do not hear it as much, maybe the odd few.
"It never really bothered me, there are worst names out there than mine.
"It is Christmas everyday in this house. I would never be put off by it. I love it too much."
How are you celebrating this year?
