There ain’t no party like an S Club Party, they say - so when S Club 7 split up it looked like such parties would be consigned to history.
But hold on, that party in Gravesend on Saturday looked remarkably like one.
The reason? Well it’s all thanks to the reformation of the 90s pop sensation under the guise of S Club Party, featuring S Club members Jo, Bradley and Tina; and together they brought the party atmosphere to fever pitch as they took to the stage at the 2017 Gravesend Riverside Festival.
For those who didn’t appreciate the feel-good S Club vibe - and they were thin on the ground of course - there was plenty more entertainment on offer in the form of Dire Straits tribute act Money for Nothing, hip hop group Big Brovaz, Gravesend band Chaps, and a host of other Kent bands.
The festival featured a traditional ‘Summer Fayre’ in the Fort Gardens, with food stalls and a fairground; while sports clubs were on hand to offer the chance to try a range of activities.
Other attractions included birds of prey and farm animals and a scarecrow competition.
