Darryl Evans has already made a name for himself in UK karting circles after back-to-back championship wins.
The West Kingsdown racer is now hopeful of taking on some of the sport’s best in next season’s SODI World Series.
The Dartford Grammar School pupil, 16, followed up his success in the Grand Prix Winter Series at Buckmore Park with victory in the summer championships at the Medway circuit with a round to spare.
Evans (pictured) enhanced his reputation even further with a sixth-place finish at the circuit’s Star Pupil race meeting earlier this month where judges voted him the third-best driver of the day.
The SODI event will be held next spring at a venue and date yet to be announced.
Evans is eighth in the world rankings and No.1 in the UK.
With the top 10 qualifying, he is on course to make the shootout in the hire karts category where he can show his skills on a wider stage.
But with the cost of competing in motorsport notoriously high, he needs sponsors to progress .
He said: "My aim is to win SODI and if I do, it will put me in a strong position to attract sponsors.
"I want to get into single seater racing. Formula Renault would be fantastic but my ultimate aim is Formula 1." Anyone interested in sponsoring him should call 01474 854099.
