A ROBBER wearing a ‘stocking’ type mask threatened staff with a knife when he entered a Kent filling station.
He then jumped over the counter and stole around £100 in cash from the tills and a quantity of cigarettes.
The incident happened at the Tollgate BP Service Station on the coastbound carriageway of the A2 at Gravesend at around 2.30am on Tuesday.
A male accomplice was seen standing by the main door shouting to the robber. A witness then saw the offenders get into a red Vauxhall Astra and drive off at speed. No one was injured.
Kent Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them as soon as possible, particularly the man who passed on details of the car to service station staff.
Det Con Fleur Anderson said: “A male witness gave details of the getaway car to staff at the service station, but did not leave his details.
"We are keen to speak to this man and would ask that he contacts us at Gravesend Police Station as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should contact DC Anderson on 01474 565094.
