A main road has been shut in both directions after a vehicle hit a lamp post causing an oil spillage.

The A226 Gravesend Road in Shorne has been closed between Church Lane and Green Farm Lane following the collision at 1.42pm.

Emergency services are at the scene and motorists have been warned to expect delays.
