A landscaping business owner is creating a nature haven for a hospice charity.
The garden will be donated to Northfleet-based charity, ellenor who cares for palliative and end-of-life patients across Gravesham, Dartford, and Swanley.
Fenton Gardens boss Joshua Fenton says the not-for-profit does incredibly important work and was inspired while at their Coldharbour Road home.
The bespoke greenspace, to be called Luatica, will be built around the theme of moonlight and water with a sustainable approach.
The Gravesend resident added: “Even if a garden might not completely distract you from what’s going on in your personal life, it does provide a very immersive experience.
“Gardens have the ability to soothe, to calm; to give us respite from stress.”
The finished show garden will be unveiled at BBC’s Gardeners World Live in Birmingham before being transported to the new multi-million pound wellbeing wing set to be unveiled at ellenor’s base on June 16.
Chief Executive of the charity, Michelle Kabia said: “We are deeply grateful to Joshua Fenton and his team at Fenton Gardens for their incredible generosity and dedication.
“Such an environment can have a profound impact on their wellbeing, offering comfort during challenging times.
“We are thrilled to see this garden become an integral part of our hospice.”
