It was a brief but memorable morning when the first snow of winter came down this morning.
To the delight of the young and the not so young, soft white flakes flittered down to the ground.
But for drivers it was a different story.
The A2 Watling Street is slow London-bound between Strood and the Darenth Interchange because of the snow.
Also affected is the A226 between Higham and the outskirts of Gravesend.
Traffic was forced to slow down in the snow down and a number of cars lost control.
It's likely to be the last we see of the snow this week, though temperatures tomorrow morning are expected to drop to -1 but on Friday rise to five degrees.
There were also troubles on the trains at Dartford station.
MP Gareth Johnson said: “Southeastern Trains need to get a grip on their winter services.
"Just a week ago they briefed local MP’s on how well prepared they were for any snow.
"I stood on a platform in my constituency waiting for a very delayed train this morning with no information being given to passengers, yet there was just a dusting of snow.”
