Ebbsfleet United manager Liam Daish has spent this week in the hunt for a new striker.

Daish (pictured) ran out of time to bring someone in before Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Thurrock, but he may be able to do some business before the weekend.

Daish added: "I spoke to three players (before Tuesday night). Maybe by the weekend we could have someone in place.

"At the moment because we haven’t been able to take them off their contract, it may mean it’s a loan deal but we’ll wait and see."

The need for a new forward has been highlighted in recent games by a number of chances that have been squandered.
