Manager Liam Daish wants to extend on-loan winger Louie Soares’ stay at Ebbsfleet.

Soares is two weeks into a one-month loan move from Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Grimsby.

He capped a sparkling home debut by setting up the equaliser for Nathan Elder in a 1-1 draw against Kidderminster on Saturday and Fleet boss Daish said: "Louie’s bright and bubbly and he’s done well since he came in.

"I’d like to think we can keep him for longer but we’ll have to see if it can be extended when the month’s up.

"He’s given us something different down the right-hand side in that he’s direct and has provided the penetration we’ve been lacking.

"It’s none of my business why he wasn’t getting a game at Grimsby but he’s certainly enjoying the chance to play football again."
