Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish admits the FA Cup exit at Redbridge ranks among the lowest points of his time in charge but is calling on the club to react positively and move on.
Daish, now close to completing his seventh year in charge at Stonebridge Road, said: "Once I had my say afterwards, the dressing room was a quiet place and we all felt sorry for ourselves. We had plenty of set-plays and got into decent areas but lacked quality in the final third."
He added: "It still hurt four days later and was disappointing. Any defeat is a low, it dictates your weekend and has made this week a long one.
"I was looking forward to getting the boys back this week, working hard and getting ready for the trip to Newport on Saturday.
"Now I am looking for a reaction for everyone involved at the club. You have disappointment and elation in football and we have to learn from this. It hasn’t killed us but we need to be strong and go forward."
Daish (pictured) had half of his squad watching from the stands, with five nursing injuries, and substitute goalkeeper Joe Welch on the bench despite carrying a knock.
Ram Marwa and on-loan Charlton defender Yado Mambo were suspended but Daish hopes for better news from the treatment room this week ahead of the clash against the South Wales strugglers.
Marwa and Mambo will be back to strengthen the team but the Fleet boss said: "I am looking for a few of them to tell me they are ready to play and pull on a shirt on Saturday."
