Ebbsfleet manager Liam Daish says he is looking for a response from his players at Darlington on Saturday as he targets a mid-table finish in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Fleet were beaten 5-0 at home to title-chasing Wrexham on Tuesday, but Daish is confident his side can bounce back.
He said: "We have punched way above our weight this season, and it’s getting harder and harder every year.
"The lads have been great and I want to finish as high as we can. If it’s top of the bottom half, it will be a great achievement. You just hope then that we can build on it next year and we don’t have to start from scratch again."
Daish added: "I am looking for a reaction and if I was looking for one result out of the two games this week, it would be beating Darlington.
"We had a young team against Wrexham but they showed spirit, gave it their all and I couldn’t ask for anything else. We’ll bounce back."
Daish may be without top scorer Calum Willock (pictured) again after he missed the Wrexham game with an eye infection. Willock was due to see a specialist yesterday (Wednesday).
Defender Ross Smith was ill but Joe Howe is back in training after a hamstring injury. Ram Marwa completes a two-game ban.
