Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish has urged his side to set the pace from the first whistle when they travel to struggling Lincoln on Saturday.
Last weekend’s 3-1 defeat to Darlington ended the Fleet’s six-game unbeaten run in Blue Square Bet Premier on a day when the home side never got into their stride.
Daish’s (pictured) team have conceded the first goal in eight of their last 10 games and is anxious to stop the unwelcome trend at Sincil Bank.
He said: "You’re not going to keep coming back, one or two goals down and getting results. You’ve got to do that from the start.
"It would be nice for us to go ahead and score a few more goals. We need to ask questions of other teams, stretch other teams so they’re chasing the game.
It’s got to be from the first whistle, not waiting until we go behind and then think ‘we’d better have a go at this’.
"To start slowly and try to pick it up, that’s hard and on Saturday, we just couldn’t do that. We’ve got a massive game at Lincoln on Saturday and that’s going to be four on the spin for us, playing ex-League sides.
"It’ll be a tough up there and we’re going to have to get back to what we’re good at."
