An opening date has finally been revealed by Lidl for their latest store.
The firm has confirmed its shop in Coldharbour Road, Gravesend, will open to customers on Thursday, October 21 at 7am.
Lidl GB’s regional head of property, Adam Forsdick, said: "It is fantastic that we are able to open our doors and welcome local residents into our new store in Gravesend.
"This marks our second store for the area and we are delighted to be able to continue our investment in the local community and deliver even more of our multi-award winning products.
"We would like to thank everyone who has played a part in delivering this store and we look forward to serving our fresh, quality and affordable produce to everyone."
The announcement comes after the opening date was pushed back earlier this month.
The store is said to have created 40 new jobs and will be offering customers exclusive deals on the first day.
Customers will be able to find deals and offers on selected products on opening day including a Sharp portable loudspeaker at £39.99 and a Salter soup maker on Thursday at £17.99, as well as a Minky heated indoor airer on Friday at £24.99.
Planning permission for the store was approved in January by Gravesham council with building work beginning in March.
Lidl will have a sales area of 1,325m², a bakery, customer toilets and bike and car parking along with two electric vehicle charging docks.
The opening times will be between 7am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
The new store will also be providing surplus produce to several local charities, including High Trinity School Gravesend who will redistribute donated food to vulnerable families in the area to ensure no child goes hungry.
This is delivered through Lidl’s Feed it Back scheme, which is run in partnership with Neighbourly and connects Lidl stores up and down the country with local charities, foodbanks, community cafes and kitchens.
