Twelve rowers from North Kent are preparing to race from the
Houses of Parliament to the Eiffel Tower.

The athletes from Medway and Gravesend are taking part in the
London 2 Paris rowing
challenge starting on May 9.

The 420 nautical mile endurance race will take six days to
complete, with the participants rowing in shifts through the day
and night.

The team is hoping to raise funds for the
EllenorLions Hospice and
Macmillan Cancer Support.
