Drivers have been stuck in huge delays after a crash on the A2.

Two vehicles are believed to have been involved in the accident on the coastbound carriageway near the junction for the Tollgate Services, Gravesend, with congestion reportedly as far back as Bexley at about 6.15pm.

Traffic was said to be slow moving with lanes three and four closed.

Travel time was estimated to be 60 minutes.

All lanes had re-opened by 6.55pm but at 7.25pm, there was still queueing traffic although delays were down to 25 minutes.

Emergency services have been asked for more information.
