There are long delays on a busy route due to a crash involving multiple vehicles.

The crash happened on the B2175 London Road in Northfleet near the junction between Pier Road and Thames Way.

Police have closed the road in both directions between Burch Road and Fountain Walk while emergency vehicles attend.

It is understood a car and a van collided and one of the vehicles caught fire.
