A man missing from his Gravesend home has been found safe, Kent Police said today.

An appeal was launched to find John Broom after he disappeared from Salisbury Road yesterday morning when he said he was going to visit a relative in Woolwich, south east London.

Concern grew for the 28-year-old, who did not have his mobile phone with him.

Kent Police said at 5pm on Friday he had been located in London.

Apprentice star Lord Sugar had this afternoon used social media site Twitter to help find Mr Broom by retweeting the appeal.
