Ebbsfleet United clawed their way out of the Blue Square Premier relegation zone after an impressive 3-2 win at play-off-chasing Luton on Saturday.

Magno Vieira bagged a crace and Moses Ashikodi got the winner as Fleet recovered from a goal down to claim all three points and climb to 19th in the table.

The home side took the lead on 27 minutes when former Fleet player Liam Hatch went past Darius Charles and Leon Crooks before firing past Lance Cronin.

But Ebbsfleet fought back and were ahead at the break after a quickfire double from Vieira.

First, on 41 minutes, Vieira latched onto Alex Stavrinou's pass ahead of substitute keeper Shane Gore to equalise.

Then, just four minutes later, Ricky Shakes did superbly down the right and Vieira was able to walk his cross into the net.

Luton - a former top-flight side and League Cup winner - got back on level terms in the 65th minute when Tom Craddock scored from substitute Ed Asafu-Adjaye's long throw.

But Ebbsfleet weren't finished and Ashikodi netted the winner almost immediately from a Charles knockdown.

Fleet: Cronin, Salmon, Crooks, Charles, Easton, Shakes, Holmes, Stavrinou, Bailey, Vieira (West 81), Ashikodi. Subs not used: Collins, Heeroo, Ginty, Wills.
