Ebbsfleet chairman Duncan Holt acknowledges the club faces a make-or-break weekend double-header which could go a long way to deciding their Blue Square Premier fate.
Liam Daish’s side visit Salisbury at 3pm on Friday before hosting Eastbourne Borough on Easter Monday at 3pm.
Salisbury are five places and five points ahead of Fleet while Eastbourne are two points ahead of Liam Daish’s side after victory on Tuesday against Gateshead – who themselves are three points and two places ahead of Fleet.
With just three games to go after the Bank Holiday weekend, at play-off-chasing Rushden, home to Gateshead and away at struggling Tamworth – four points clear of Fleet going into the weekend – Fleet’s destiny remains in their own hands.
Mr Holt said: "We have got five games left by the end of the weekend we’ll have a good idea of what we need to achieve.
"There are going to be lots of twists and turns before the end of the season."
Daish gave his players the weekend off to prepare for the run-in after the loss of the scheduled Chester game at Stonebridge Road.
