A man admitted possession of an extreme image involving sexual interference with a dead person and making thousands of indecent images of children, when he appeared in court.
Mason Brooke, 55, from Northfleet, pleaded guilty to nine counts of making indecent images of children and one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image portraying an act which involved sexual interference with a corpse when he appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, March 20.
The court heard police had identified 38,305 indecent images of children on his devices including hundreds in the worst category A, but he was also found with hundreds of the next level B images and thousands of level C images which had been downloaded.
Brooke, of Ebbsfleet Walk, also admitted having 212 indecent videos of children in all three categories when he appeared in the dock.
District Judge Paul Goldspring heard Brooke had not committed any offences since 2003 which were unrelated matters.
Judge Goldspring decided to send the case to Maidstone Crown Court to be dealt with and ordered an all-options pre-sentence report be carried out on Brooke before then.
Brooke will be notified of the day of his sentencing.
