Witnesses have described how supermarket staff were involved in a fight at an Asda supermarket which led to a man being arrested.
Police say they were called to a report of a disturbance at the supermarket in Crossways Boulevard, Greenhithe at around 6.10pm on Tuesday April 7.
Officers attended and a 32-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of two assaults and racially aggravated public order.
One witness watched the incident unfold over the course of around 45 minutes.
A fight then broke out between a security guard and another staff member who was trying to calm him, said the witness, adding: "He kept on and swearing and trying to punch and kick both staff, landed a few punches and kicks until he broke his sunglasses and threw them on the floor and freaked out."
He said the man was then restrained, but continued abusing staff.
The witness said his daughter was left traumatised by the scenes.
"At one point they were right beside my car and my daughter was petrified," he added. "She didn’t speak for over an hour until her mum got back to the car with the shopping and knew she was safe from this situation.
"I hope he gets some jail time, it's totally unacceptable behaviour and idiots like that will get the whole country put on full lockdown."

The arrested man was taken into custody and held overnight before being bailed until Friday May 7.
An Asda spokesman said: "We do not tolerate any form of abuse or violence towards our colleagues and we will work with the police in their inquiries.’’
