Man attacked after leaving club

POLICE in North Kent are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a young man outside the Woodville Halls in Stone Street at Gravesend.

The victim had been in Bar 24 in Gravesend with friends. He left the club at about 2am with his friends and walked towards the Woodville Halls.

His friends stopped to talk to someone and the victim became separated from them.

As he passed the Woodville Halls a man jumped over the blue railings that surround the courtyard and came up behind the 20year-old and punched him in the face.

The victim was then punched again in the nose. The offender then walked off with another man.

The injuredd man was treated at Dartford's Darent Valley Hospital for cuts to his forehead and bruising to his face.

The offender is described as a white man, aged between 16 and 19 years old and he was 5ft 10ft tall.

The incident occurred on June 10 between 2 and 2.30am. PC Karen Radford, who is investigating this incident said, said: "This was a seemingly unprovoked attack and I would urge anyone who witnessed it to contact the police immediately.”
