POLICE have charged a 32-year-old man in connection with the murder of a man stabbed to death in a Kent town more than four years ago.
Gulinder Singh Gurewel, of no fixed address, is accused of killing Kamaljit Kalon in Gravesend in 2003.
The charge follows a robust investigation led by Det Ch Insp Anne Brittain following the incident.
Kamaljit, from Sidcup, was 31 when he was stabbed on Gordon Promenade on July 10, 2003.

The suspect was arrested in Dartford last Thursday afternoon. He was remanded in custody when he later appeared before Medway magistrates.
In April 2004, Surinder Lehal, 40, and wife Bhupinder, 38, of Astra Drive, Riverview Park, Gravesend, were given 12-month suspended sentences for perverting the course of justice in connection with the case.
