A man has been charged with burglary after jewellery, computers and clothing was stolen from a home.

Wayne Austin, of Princes Road, Gravesend, is alleged to have broken in to the property in First Avenue, Northfleet, on Monday.

Yesterday officers arrested a man in Wallis Park, Northfleet, and the 36-year-old was subsequently charged.

He is due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, September 7.
