A MAN has appeared in court charged with soliciting murder.

Roy Bains, 59, of Windsor Road, Gravesend, was arrested by police in North Kent on Tuesday and charged with two counts of soliciting murder between February 15 and April 27, 2009.

He appeared at Dartford Magistrates Court on Wednesday where he was remanded in custody to appear before Maidstone Crown Court.
