A man accused of attempted murder after a woman was assaulted and another man stabbed has pleaded not guilty.

Jonathon Dowling, of Springhead Parkway, Northfleet, appeared via video link at Maidstone Crown Court this morning.

The 27-year-old is accused of one count of attempted murder, actual bodily harm and taking a vehicle without consent.

He was arrested on Monday, February 18, after a woman, that was known to Dowling, was assaulted and had her car stolen.

Another man was also stabbed in his leg and arm.

Dowling pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and will face trial on Monday, August 19.

He was remanded in custody.
