Two cars have collided in Valley Drive, Gravesend.

The crash happened opposite the parade of shops, near Tesco Express and KFC, just after 6.30pm.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene, near the junction with Thomas Drive.

A witness said a man was treated at the roadside. He was seen lying on the pavement but was conscious.

One of the cars involved was said to have suffered extensive damage to the front.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 6.35pm following a two-car collision in Valley Drive, Gravesend.

"Officers attended as the road was blocked but no serious injuries have been reported."
