A MAN had to be rescued from the roof of his house after he fell while clearing out guttering.

Crews were called at 12.02pm to the home in Downs Valley, Hartley, today (Monday) where the man was stuck on a lower section of flat roof.

Fire fighters assisted paramedics by carrying him down on a board for fear of neck injuries.

He was taken to Darent Valley Hospital.
