DETECTIVES have launched an investigation after a 44-year-old man was stabbed several times by a gang of five men in an alleyway.

The assault happened off Marling Way, Riverview Park, Gravesend, between 6pm and 6.30pm on Saturday.

It is thought all five attackers fled the scene in a car. The victim is now recovering at Darent Valley Hospital at Dartford. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
