A street has been cordoned off after a man was stabbed in the head.

Snelling Avenue in Northfleet was closed off after police were called at 5.54pm this evening.

Officers attended and a man in his 30s received treatment for a slash to his head from a bladed object.

His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Sofia Goldsmith wrote on Facebook: "My fiance said someone was stabbed in the head. He lives close by."

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
