A man was taken to hospital after his car crashed into a telephone pole.

The one-car collision took place in Wrotham Road, Meopham, at around 6.45am this morning.

It is believed the driver did not sustain serious injuries but paramedics still took him in an ambulance as a precaution.

The age of the man is unknown.

Firefighters had to partially close the road while they cleared cables from the fallen telephone pole.

Police also attended the scene.
