Scores of shoppers stopped to listen to medley of Christmas songs at Gravesend Borough Market last night as Gravesham continued its festive celebrations.
Thousands of people went along to enjoy the light parade and Christmas lights switch-on last Friday, November 16 and last night people also enjoyed the late night Christmas market.
Visitors could take to the ice when they donned skates and glided around the ice rink which has been erected in the market car park.
They could also have fun on the fairground rides and tuck into some tasty street food and had mulled wine at the bark.
The market was open until 8pm and featured a range of Christmas gift stalls and treats.
One man who enjoyed the songs, was local snapper Fraser Gray, who lives in the town.
He said: "I greatly enjoyed the medley of Christmas songs by the artist Chris Till on Friday evening."
The Christmas experience will carry on today and tomorrow as the Big Market Weekend is staged.
The market will be open until 5pm this evening and again tomorrow from 10am to 4pm.
The ice rink, rides, food stalls and market stalls will all be selling festive wears.
The bar will also be serving Christmas cocktails and there will be Christmas wreath making workshop at 12.30pm or 1.30 to 4pm but need to be booked in advance.
Next Sunday, December 2 the vintage Christmas market will return from 10am to 4pm.
The event, which is organised by by Forget-Me-Not, will feature more than 30 vintage traders under one roof.
There will also be live entertainment from My Favourite Things, more street food and the bar will be serving vintage cocktails.
Visitors can also make their own vintage table at a workshop if they book up in advance.
Then on Sunday, December the 8 the market will host creative Christmas day from 10am to 3pm.
Attractions include creative crafts and activities an animatronic polar bear & Arctic explorer, walkabouts which will happen at noon, 1pm and 2pm.
Other sights to see will be live ice carving a Victorian Pomander children’s workshop, face painting and Frozen characters will make appearances at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
Gingerbread decorating workshops are being staged at 10am, noon, 1pm, and 2pm and Meopham mini artists workshops will also be held at 10am, 11am, noon, 1pm and 2pm.
Santa’s Christmas Robin show story telling session for youngsters will be staged at 2pm and mini moo craft sessions will be held at 10am and 3pm.
