An 83-year-old woman reported missing from Gravesend has been found safe and well.

Police earlier put out an appeal for information to help locate the pensioner amid concerns for her safety.

She disappeared from the Northfleet area at around 8am and was missing for at least 10 hours.

But police have since confirmed she is safe and well.

A spokesman said: "Officers would like to thank those who helped with the search."
