The Gravesend Aeromodelling Club has been celebrating its 70th anniversary with a look back over its history.
To mark the occasion, members gathered together photographs of the club’s journey since it began in 1946.
The images are included in a publication that was free to the club’s 70 members and gives a short history of the club.
In the early days, the planes were either free flight or control line.
Although the technology has dramatically changed since then, the club believes there is still a fascination in flying a model aircraft.
The club temporarily disbanded in 1959, but was resurrected by current president Bill Moesli in 1961.
Their chairman, Denis Llewellyn, who is stepping down from the role this year, also appears in the pictures as he has been with the club since the 1960s.
When radio control became available, the club flew at fields near Thong Lane before moving to the Cliffe Marshes, where they are based now.
The club is open to people of all ages, and members regularly fly their aeroplanes, gliders, helicopters and drones of all shapes and sizes.
