Motorcycle crash in Rochester Road, Gravesend results in injuries and road closures

A man is in hospital after his motorcycle collided with a car.

Police and paramedics rushed to Rochester Road, Gravesend near the Shell petrol station after receiving reports of a crash.

The man, aged in his 40s, was put in a neck collar and treated for wrist injuries at the scene before being taken to hospital.

He was admitted to Medway Maritime Hospital as a priority patient.

The road was closed briefly while emergency services dealt with the incident.

A police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 1.45pm to a report of a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

"The motorcyclist will be going to hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening."
