A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a "nasty" crash on the A2.
The scene is now clear following the collision on the London-bound carriageway just before the Northfleet and Ebbsfleet turn off earlier today.
A crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle was reported to the police at 10.40am.
A spokesman for the force said lane closures were in place and police were at the scene.
They added: "The motorcyclist is being taken to hospital but his injuries are not life threatening."
At the time a witness told KentOnline: "There's a nasty looking accident on the A2 London-bound by the Swanscombe turn off - several cars and a motorbike seem to be involved."
Congestion was said to be building back to the Tollgate services.
At around 12.30pm National Highways tweeted that the scene was now clear.
They said: "All lanes have re-opened on the A2 London-bound between the A227 and the B262 near Gravesend following a collision.
"Thank you for your patience, please have a safe onward journey."
