An accident involving four cars left traffic queueing for six miles and drivers facing hour-long delays during the morning commute.
The crash happened on the A2 London-bound at A2260 Southfleet Road in Ebbsfleet Valley at about 6.15am, prompting the closure of two lanes.
At one point, congestion was stretching back to Cobham Services, with drivers facing delays of about an hour.
The road had fully reopened by 10am and delays have since cleared.
A police spokesman said: “Patrols and highways officers attended the scene where two people reported minor injuries.”
National Highways also confirmed that despite the vehicles involved being heavily damaged, all injuries were minor.
