A blogger who suffered repeated miscarriages has published a book about her journey to start a family.
Laura Buckingham, 35, a nurse from Gravesend, started blogging to help her process her thoughts and emotions during some of her darkest times.
Laura, who is married to Scoop, has a son, Bertie, a dog called Cooper and a tortoise called Ernie, soon found she was helping others too.
Many people reached out to her and it was clear her story could provide some hope for others on similar journeys.
Laura, who used to work at Darent Valley Hospital as a sister on the acute medical unit, later joined forces with another mum who had also suffered miscarriages to create a podcast, named 'The Worst Girl Gang Ever'.
It focuses on open and honest conversations surrounding miscarriage and pregnancy loss.
Laura said: "I am very excited about having my book published.
"Writing has been incredibly therapeutic for me throughout our rollercoaster of a journey."
The announcement the book is to be published coincides with Baby Loss Awareness Week, which took place this week and aims to break the silence around pregnancy and baby loss.
The book, It Will Happen, is a candid memoir about Laura and Scoot trying for a baby, having no idea what they would be in for.
After the heartbreak of each loss, when the world around her frustratingly seemed to carry on as normal, Laura writes about her struggle to cope with her inability to do something others seemed to find so easy.
She shares her isolating experiences and talks openly and honestly about how she and her husband navigated the harsh realities of their rollercoaster journey to parenthood.
The book covers many subjects including, trying to conceive and the strain on relationships; miscarriage, ectopic and molar pregnancies; jealousy and resentment; treatments and testing; the anxiety of pregnancy and motherhood after loss and communicating with people in these situations.
'I hope that by sharing my experiences it will help others to navigate their own journeys of miscarriage and pregnancy loss...'
Laura hopes the book will give people the tools and information to feel empowered through the difficult times when trying to conceive.
Laura added: "I hope that by sharing my experiences it will help others to navigate their own journeys of miscarriage and pregnancy loss."
It Will Happen published by Austin Macauley Publishers and is available from October 30 via Amazon and all good booksellers at a price of £9.99, but Austin Macauley currently have a 30% offer on all paperbacks.
