Police investigating the death of a man in Gravesend have charged a 28-year-old with murder.

Joe Chuter, of Taunton Vale in Gravesend, will appear before Medway magistrates tomorrow (Tuesday).

He is charged with the murder of a 31-year-old man who was found with head and stomach injuries in St Patrick’s Gardens, Gravesend, at around 8pm on Saturday.

The victim, who was from the Cranbrook area, was taken to a London hospital for treatment but died on the morning of Sunday 22 July. Formal identification of the victim has not yet taken place.
