From being a small start-up in 2012 carrying a catalogue range of 50 products, Electronic Products Network has surpassed its own targets.
Having worked hard to build long-lasting business partnerships with some of the industry’s biggest distributors and manufacturers, the company – in Stone Street, Gravesend – primarily focused on selling print and consumables.
In just three short years to 2015, it now boasts a mammoth range of over 300,000 different products from print to electronic point of sale (EPOS), to home appliances.
The types of goods range from toasters to computers, televisions to coffee machines and ink cartridges. The company also has a UK customer contact centre.
Although it uses mainly UK suppliers, it also imports from Germany. Exports are worldwide, with regular deliveries to Denmark, Germany, China, Vietnam, South Korea, Nigeria, Hong Kong, Portugal, Ireland and Russia.
Some of its well-known customers are McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Shell and BP.
Electronic Products Network also believes in keeping the local community at its core.
Director Samuel Fathers said: “As well as giving discounts to businesses around us, we also sponsor a local football team and have taken part in Northfleet Carnival on its behalf to help raise funds.”
With the business expanding rapidly, it is fast outgrowing its current base and the next 12 months should see a move to new and much larger premises.
The company is one of the contenders for this year's Dartford and Gravesham Business Awards, which are now in their 10th year.
They are supported by the Messenger, and each entrant gets a free profile in our papers and on our website.
This year’s award sponsors are Dartford council, Gravesham council, Barnes Roffe, Kent Business School (University of Kent), the KM Group (Dartford Messenger and Gravesend Messenger), Lloyds Bank, Thomson Snell and Passmore, Edinburgh House, University of Greenwich and Mid Kent College.
Entries have now closed. The winners will be announced later this year.
