A new burger bar has been welcomed to a historic town centre market.
Artisan burger joint Gravesend Burger Kiosk served its first customers earlier this month at Gravesend Borough Market.
The family-run small business offers handmade gourmet burgers, toasted bagels and other small bites including crispy broccoli, calamari, chicken wings and nachos.
Owner Wesley Cardoso said: "We felt Gravesend needed an artisan burger place which is fresh, wholesome and easily accessible either in store or home deliveries.
"All our burgers, bagel fillings and small bites are made home-made and not frozen."
The restaurant, which opened on October 19, currently has three other members of staff who are all members of the Cardoso family.
He added so far their best seller is the Bad Boy BBQ burger – a 115g beef patty topped with cheddar, onion jam, bacon and a fried egg served in a premium burger bun.
All the beef, chicken, veggie and vegan burgers are also accompanied by crinkle fries.
Wesley added: "Gravesend was our first and only choice for this business as we, ourselves are from Gravesend and it has a great community.
"Also, the market is an iconic location because of its history and I personally think it offers a great platform to launch small businesses."
It joins Pad Thai Live which has recently expanded into Chatham's Dockside Outlet Centre, Ms Earlyns which offers Caribbean food, authentic Hungarian cuisine Laszlo's Kitchen, The Sausage Shop and Chrystal's coffee shop.
The eatery is open Tuesday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday to Saturday 9am to 9pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
They also offer Just Eat and Deliveroo home deliveries available through the service's apps.
