After being diagnosed with Lymphangiomatosis in September 2006, little Jamie-Leigh who attended the Julia Young School of Dance in Gravesend, was forced to give up her hobby.
Her courage and enthusiasm for dance was celebrated at an award ceremony for fellow Julia Young pupils on Sunday.
Jamie-Leigh’s mother Lisa Heritage, 39, presented a special cup to little nine-year-old Madison Quilter who had shown the same dancing qualities as her own daughter.
Dance teacher Julia Young, said: “Jamie-Leigh was a member of our school. She was dedicated, enthusiastic and had real potential. I wanted the cup to go to someone who showed the same qualities.”
